The Glimmer Fairies Project was founded by Celia after her son Noah was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia, leading their family to spend long nights and sometimes weeks in the hospital, like many others on the hematology-oncology ICU floor. Parents, especially mothers, often feel unworthy of indulging in simple pleasures like manicures or haircuts while their child is hospitalized. To address this, Celia rallied friends from the beauty industry, many of whom volunteered their services to support patients and caregivers. Now in its 10th year, The Glimmer Fairies Project continues to host beauty events and aims to expand to other children's hospitals across the country. We are also in the process of becoming an official nonprofit organization to provide financial assistance to families in need.
